Apple TV can act as an in-between from your Mac or PC to your widescreen TV. It stores and/or streams content purchased off the iTunes Store to your widescreen TV. It will also stream anything in the M4V format as well as photos. Now featuring the ability to rent movies and HD movies from iTunes directly from the AppleTV device. No computer needed! It requires only an internet connection. New in AppleTV is the ability to stream from Netflix (Subscription required). From iTunes, you can also wirelessly stream your media from any Mac or PC that you give permission to. So if a friend comes over and wants to show you something they can simply join your Apple TV after you give them permission and then you can see all of their content on your AppleTV screen. Apple also offers You-Tube to TV directly (internet connection required) for easy access to YouTube. Apple TV has HDMI, Optical Audio, Ethernet, 802.11n wireless, and a USB Port on the rear of the unit. Cables are all sold separately with the exception of the power cable.
