The iPad is a brand new product from Apple. Its a tablet PC based on the iPhone OS. It has a few new features in it including an Apple created CPU running at 1 GHz, up to 64GB of flash storage, a 9.7” IPS glossy widescreen display, WiFi, Bluetooth, and much more. Some of the items from the iPhone have been carried over as well, such as multitouch, 1 home button, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, iPod syncing, 3G connectivity, etc. New to the device is a new version of iWork. Its a clouded version of iWork that has a little different look and feel to it. Also new is a feature called iBooks. This enables you to purchase books to read off your iPad, similar to what Amazon offers. The iPad will run all of the iPhone/iPod Touch apps, including games and anything internet related.
3G connectivity is via AT&T with 2 plans available (256MB or Unlimited), both without contracts. You can cancel the 3G at any time without penalty.
